The University of Dubrovnik is the publisher of the scientific journal for the sea and seafaring titled Naše more, International Journal of Maritime Science & Technology.
The journal “Naše more“ was founded in 1919 by well-known names from the circles of shipowners, seafarers and bankers. It was published for only two years and was then discontinued. It was re-founded in Dubrovnik in 1953, also by notable people from the circles of the shipping industry and business, who had joined together in the club “Miho Pracat“. In 1991, the editing and publishing was taken over by the Maritime Faculty of Dubrovnik, which later became the Polytechnic of Dubrovnik and in 2003 the University of Dubrovnik.
Naše more, International Journal of Maritime Science & Technology is an internationally recognised, double-blind, peer-reviewed journal published three times a year. In addition, the journal aims to publish a special issue every year. The special issue has a specific theme, which is determined by the editorial board.
The mission of the journal is to find good and interesting manuscripts and to present and promote high quality research, scientific information, new ideas and original research in the field of maritime science, technology and engineering. The focus is on the timely publication of high quality open access articles.
We adhere to the criteria of scientific excellence and the highest standards that apply in scientific research and publishing. The journal aims to promote young researchers and give them a place in the scientific research community.
