Srećko Krile (male) Full Professor with PhD at University of Dubrovnik, Croatia. He was born in1957.
Since 1991 he has been teaching on University of Dubrovnik, former Polytechnic and Maritime Faculty. He is the member of Electrical and Computing department, same as lecturer at Maritime dept. He has published over 70 peer-reviewed journal papers and participated on more than 50 international conferences. Research areas: telecommunications, marine communications, QoS, network resource management and optimal capacity allocation, AI, traffic engineering, operational research in smart transport. He cooperated in research with many faculties in different countries: Poland, Czech, Slovakia, Italy, Ukraine, Russia. He participated in committees for many scientific journals and conferences, e.g, Transport Problems (Katowice), Poland, LOGI (Česke Budejovice), Czech. He is general chair of the conference in Dubrovnik, concerned of maritime.
Editor in chief of scientific journal ”Naše more (Our Sea)” (ISSN:0469-6255) from 2013 till now. Journal is established in 1919, cited in WoS and Scopus.

He has published over 70 peer-reviewed journal papers and participated on more than 50 international conferences. Research areas: telecommunications, marine communications, QoS, network resource management and optimal capacity allocation, AI, traffic engineering, operational research in smart transport. Editor in chief of scientific journal ”Naše more (Our Sea)” (ISSN:0469-6255) from 2013.

From 1983 to 1991 he worked on planning and maintenance of functional communication networks for government. Since 1991 he has been teaching on University of Dubrovnik, former Polytechnic and Maritime Faculty.

Except three books: “Electronic Communications in Shipping”, (ISBN: 953-96858-4-2), “Mobile Satellite Networks” (ISBN: 953-715300-2) and “Communication Systems in Maritime’’ (ISBN: 978-953-97914-7-4) he also published many scientific papers and has presented them on many international conferences.

Current position: Full professor

Activities:
Member of management board for Croatian Academic Research Network (CARNet) from 2004 – 2008.
Member of IEEE
Member of Croatian union of musicians (HGU) i Croatian society of composers (HDS).

 

Awards and recognitions:
On behalf of the scientific journal “Our Sea” ISSN: 0469-6255, he received the annual award for contribution to maritime science in 2015. He is a longtime member of the editorial board, from 2013 in the role of editor-in-chief until today.
Member of the Association of Electrical and Electronics IEEE, Communications Society – section, region 8.

Community and business links
He was a member of the Governing Board of the Croatian Academic and Research Network of CARNet for two terms from 2004-2006 to 2008. During that period, CARNet networked all school institutions in the Republic of Croatia. Also in that period CARNet became an integral part of the European scientific network GEANT.
He was a member of the first convocation of the Senate at the University of Dubrovnik in 2003-2004, and was a member of the convocation from 2010-2012.
He is a member of the current Parent Committee for the field of technical sciences Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Traffic and Transport Technology, Aviation, Rocket and Space Engineering.
He was a member of the commission (2010) for the construction and equipping of the school ship (logger) “Queen of the Sea”, the port of registration of Dubrovnik.
